Store Layout and Navigation
Pros:
"Relaxed place to browse. Logical layout in the store and helpful staff."
"Went to the Range whilst on a 17 day holiday in Torquay, what a place, it is like 'Aladdin Cave'."
Cons:
"The layout of the store is complicated, if you haven't been before then be prepared to spend at least half an hour navigating."
"I always find this shop confusing and hard to find what I am after."
"Poorly laid out with various obstacles placed in the aisles."
Product Range and Pricing
Pros:
"They sell loads of stuff and very rarely do you walk out empty handed."
"Just about anything you need for the home, inside and out can be found here."
"The range in the Range is varied, everything from seasonal goods to arts and crafts supplies, reasonable pricing."
"Everything I have bought has been good value and served its purpose."
"The Range, as its name suggests holds a good range of products and the prices are good too."
"So much to choose from at reasonable prices during this cost of living crisis."
"Good products with reasonable prices."
Cons:
"Shopped here on a budget as hard times so was adding up shopping as we went got to check out and the check out price was £11.25 more than we added up."
"Lots of items, particularly plants in the garden centre are not priced."
"Didn't buy anything, no price tags, on what I wanted."
"Careful! The price on the till is higher than the price on the ticket."
"Prices are excellent on certain items but not on everything, so if you know what you want, make sure you know how much it is elsewhere."
"There were hardly any items with a price displayed."
Customer Service
Pros:
"Today I received fantastic customer service from a lovely young lady called lyndsey in the lighting department."
"The salesman, Simon, not only lifted them onto the trolley, he very helpfully advised me that they were on sale if I bought two bags, he pushed the trolley to the till and then to my car for me and loaded them into the boot. He was extremely polite and friendly, a delight to shop there with people like him to assist shoppers."
"Thank you visited Sunday to buy large amount of metal fencing, we were helped by Ellis who was brilliant thank you also had a lovely coffee and the gentleman serving was also excellent thank you both."
"The staff are always extremely helpful and courteous."
"Staff was very courteous and helpful when I had a question about pricing on products."
"The staff go above and beyond to ensure customer service is excellent."
"Great shop, Served by Nicole at the till. She was as always a credit to the store, polite helpful and friendly."
Cons:
"Felt the place looked a bit shambolic and it seemed it needed a good clean and a good tidying round."
"The parking is horrendous. The lines are far too close and it's often impossible to get in or out of your car."
"Lovely products but staff have as much sense as a brick wall."
"Have had a couple of issues with staff not exactly knowing what they are doing but always get there in the end."
"An absolute shambles! I was looking for tablecloths. I asked five different members of staff who had no idea or indeed did very little in the way of customer service."
"Awful. Unhelpful, rude staff. The cashier was so busy talking to her colleague about breaks that she ruined 3 of the pads I was buying by throwing them down and then throwing more items on top, resulting in bent and creased."
"Very poor customer service - most of staff young and don't care."
Parking and Accessibility
Pros:
"No issues with parking."
"There is free parking right outside which is great if you are buying bulky or heavy items."
"Ample parking spaces."
"Free on site parking for up to 2 hours."
Cons:
"The parking is limited to two hours but you can apply for an extension apparently, which begs the question: why limit parking in the first place? (To trick people so they can make more money)."
"WARNING THOUGH .... the car park isn't owned by the range and if you overstay by 12 seconds like we did you get a £100 fine ... Absolutely ridiculous!"
"The biggest problem is no staff on the shop floor as and when you need one so left the shop with nothing and there is no consideration for people in wheelchairs and buggy/prams as they keep adding more stuff on the ends of the shelves and more stuff on the shop floor that makes is almost impossible to get round the corners."
"The only negative was the Cafe was too small and impossible to get around in a scooter."
Cafe and Food Services
Pros:
"Cafe on site."
"A nice little cafe with helpful staff."
"Mark in the cafe was efficient, polite and super funny."
"Nice coffee also."
"The cafe here is really good as well, with conscious decisions made on the pricing, and really good tasting food."
Cons:
"They didn't have any napkins for about a year and I've had to ask for a clean glass and clean cutlery quite a few times due to issues with their dishwasher!"
"Store is good, but the Costa Coffee shop was a waste of time. 30 minutes to get served with tasteless food. I won't be using it again, as this is the second time I have experienced poor service and a long wait."
