Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere was really good, it was busy when we got there but not overcrowded."
  • "I’ve been waiting a long time to get into this place and it really didn’t disappoint, the atmosphere inside is sensational."
  • "The atmosphere inside is vibrant and energetic, with a cool industrial decor."

Cons:

  • "It was too hot. The waiter brought our drinks and didn’t know which of them was the non-alcoholic beer."
  • "The atmosphere might be good for many people but for us it was too noisy."
  • "If you are lucky enough, your order will arrive. Half of the time, some drinks will be missing or the order will get lost."

Service

Pros:

  • "Friendly staff and excellent service, the guy serving us went above and beyond to help us with the drink choices available."
  • "The staff were extremely helpful and on the ball. We hired out the whole of the bowling section which was run smoothly by the dedicated attendee."
  • "Our server Belle was amazing .... so welcoming, attentive and enormously helpful."

Cons:

  • "The service was messy, orders getting delayed and missing."
  • "Service was slow, has booked a table for 4. Sat upstairs, first server was good. But she left after delivering our first drink."
  • "Service was slow & slightly chaotic, lacklustre."

Facilities

Pros:

  • "The place is huge. It has a duckpin bowling alley, table tennis tables, slide, quiet podcast booths, ice cream van, cocktail bar, coffee bar - Grind, and co-working space areas."
  • "This place is an insanely amazing mix of all that is enjoyed by adults, good drink and wine, all that is good for kids, SLIDES, and all that is enjoyed inbetween: duckpin bowling."
  • "This BrewDog opened its doors on 18th August 2022 and claims to be the biggest pub in London."

Cons:

  • "This isn’t 'family friendly', just to warn anyone who thinks it is. It’s an enormous bar that happens to have a slide."
  • "The food menu is also worth mentioning, with delicious dishes that perfectly complement the beers."
  • "Our first server spoke so quietly, we could barely hear him."

Food & Drink

Pros:

  • "We had a jackpot burger each, chips and onion rings ...... dear god, the food was lovely. Picture didn't do it any justice."
  • "The food was beautifully cooked and flavored."
  • "The beer selection is extensive and impressive, ranging from their signature brews to unique and experimental flavors."

Cons:

  • "The picture shows the cheese toastie for kids. It gives you an idea what the food is like (we had mac & cheese, fries and a pizza, and it was all bad)."
  • "Seitan was way too salty and chicken wing was very greasy!"
  • "The burgers as always were good but we're not worth the hefty price tag."

Location & Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Slightly cheaper and very easy to get to from Waterloo station as it's right under."
  • "With its numerous leather seats and pleasant atmosphere, this is simply an amazing pub abutting Waterloo Station, a walking minute from Southbank."
  • "It's a busy place and is ginormous and accommodates children as well."

Cons:

  • "Difficult menu to navigate and hard to find the beers you want to buy via the app - better experience buying drinks at the bar itself."
  • "Had a one-way system just to get in the place. Had to send back the food twice because it’s cold."
  • "Had the beer school experience this afternoon expertly led by Sarah. Some great beers, delicious cheese and a really informative and fun afternoon. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great afternoon. Our teacher really knew her stuff, was happy to hear all our questions and was a fantastic guide - our hour and a half flew by."
