"Obvioulsy, you can't beat the almost 360° view, being on top of Berry Head."
"They have a takeaway and outside seating area inside the historic walls of Berry Head with the best high views."
Cons:
"Unfortunately it was pouring down with rain so could not sit outside to have breakfast."
"The only downfall was if you're disabled the(long) walk is on some uneven ground at times."
"Nowhere to sit. Covid awareness good. Typical tourist cafe with tourist prices."
"None of us could get under the round tables outside to eat or drink as none are accessible."
"I don't necessarily like dogs in the cafe, it's a tight area anyway and with social distancing it is made worse with dogs sat beside tables."
"Be prepared for long waits for food during the summer and the menu is on the pricier side."
"We were told it would take 5 mins to get our take-away lattes. 15 mins later we were still waiting."
Food and Drink
Pros:
"Quality coffee, and a window hatch ordering service to cope with Covid working."
"Guardhouse Cafe is reasonably priced for food and drink and has a good selection of meals."
"Food great. I'm dairy free and they did oat milk in coffee which was impressive."
"The food is excellent and the portions are incredibly generous."
"The BEST (bacon, egg, sausage and tom) sandwich was amazing, chips were tasty and hot, cream tea was the best."
"The fish goujons tasted so fresh and amazingly battered, the seafood chowder was amazing!"
"Great chowder - one of the best I've had!"
Cons:
"The veggie breakfast is nothing like pre-covid days."
"If you are gluten free be very careful, my son is coeliac and Cross contamination is high."
"Prices are relatively high 8.50 and upwards for a sandwich."
"Price's are quite high slice of chocolate cake £3.75 if you have a family would be very expensive trip."
"The 'ploughmans' turned out to be nothing more than a cheese sandwich (minimal cheese, not even a pickled onion!)."
"Just wish the price of a Sausage sandwich £7.50 would actually contain proper sausages and not cheap flavourless ones."
"And £6-50 for a bacon sandwich is taking the Mick."

"The staff are super friendly and are very attentive."
"Staff are always lovely and service perfect."
Cons:
"Told our order would be taken soon, multiple tables that came in after us were served before and we just got forgotten about."
"We also watched a member of staff use the same tongs for vegetables which had just been cut up on some meat."
"With at least 11 staff, 4 of which were working and the others stood chatting and messing around in the full view of the customers in the cafe, I fail to see why it takes 15 minutes to get a takeaway drink??"
"AFTER VISITING TODAY AND WITNESSING DOGS IN THE KITCHEN AREA WHILE FOOD IS BEING PREPARED AND COOKED I FIND THIS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND FOOD STANDARDS AGENCY SHOULD CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!!!"
"Dreadful! They allow dogs in the cafe to which the staff go around petting them then do not wash their hands afterwards hence my wife's food had a dog hair in it."
"We visited today to grab a coffee and an ice cream and sit in the sun unfortunately we couldn't bare the smell and left. Apparently they are having issues with their septic tank."
"Been here 3 times in the last week while walking the dog and while prices have stayed high, portions have decreased."

Cons:
"Toilets could do with a bit of attention."
"Sadly, it's dog central in the cafe....and we can never quite bring ourselves to eat a full meal with all the smelly mutts looking and dribbling at you!!!"
"Massive welcoming sign outside saying 'take away' but when we asked to take away they had to check with the chef? Seems like false advertising."
"The only downfall was if you're disabled the(long) walk is on some uneven ground at times."
"None of us could get under the round tables outside to eat or drink as none are accessible."
"I don't necessarily like dogs in the cafe, it's a tight area anyway and with social distancing it is made worse with dogs sat beside tables."
