Staff and Service Quality

Pros:

  • "The vets and staff was excellent and managed to remove her huge lump successfully and the aftercare for lola was the best."
  • "Taken 2 of my cousins dogs Paris and pele recently, Paul is brilliant and also the American gentlemen (sorry don't know his name) we had a bad experience with another vets and these have restored my faith in veterinary practices as they don't do it for the money, they do actually care about your animal."
  • "The staff and the vet were excellent and very tolerant of my pet who is a rescue and has trust issues."
  • "All the vets are kind, compassionate and professional."
  • "The customer service is excellent, never in all my years as a dog owner have I ever had a Customer Service Team phone me back because they were busy but could see me calling, amazing!"
  • "Staff are always so welcoming and genuinely care."
  • "The staff were fantastic they sorted every thing out, I only received my share of the bill 2 months later and no pressure to pay."

Cons:

  • "Avoid."
  • "This pet vet is poorly run veterinarians I took my partner's cat to them they diagnosed her with a thyroid problem. We then took the cat up to the PDSA the same day for a second opinion. Unfortunately, the poor cat had to be put to sleep because the pathetic veterinarians at the pet cannot give the correct diagnostic."
  • "You have been warned! Do not use this place! Pay the extra to go to a place where they have qualified vets. These clearly aren't."
  • "Very bad communication. Vet said on multiple occasions she would call me back with information but didnt bother."
  • "Regardless I won’t be returning to this vets again!"
  • "Never really had an issue with my experiences here always been my go to vets but recently they have been lacking with the service."
  • "Trying to get in touch with the vets to discuss these issues has proved impossible!"

Cost and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Helped out in an emergency which was brilliant but then said need to give my dog this special worm tablet at £37 which are £5 online everywhere 700% mark up."
  • "Pricing is transparent with all charges itemised and explained on each bill."
  • "The bill for all of this work was approximately £250 which I thought was great value for money given that it was an emergency appointment, all the checks and the medications too."
  • "The prices are pocket friendly and make sure that your pet gets the best attention at all times."
  • "Plus they offer reasonable prices - for example, my male rabbit neutering costed £47.61 including pre operation health check, anaesthetic, operation, recovery food and two post operation health checks."
  • "The Pet Vet isn't expensive compared to some practices and I have full confidence in their ability to treat my dogs and it's an added bonus they open on Sunday."
  • "Pet Plan available, totally reasonable prices too."

Cons:

  • "Its very nice inside and staff are polite etc but it's so ridiculously expensive."
  • "I took my dog in last year for her left ear draining, it cost £119 for the whole operation. My dogs right ear has now done the same and filled up with fluid, took her in the morning and was asked to pay £700."
  • "Prices were unclear, incredibly high and unnecessary treatments were suggested when time was critical."
  • "Apart from the fact that transparency is completely lacking, I was charged £ 150 and did not even receive the written results."
  • "Absolute **** take! My dogs had a bladder infection, got charged over £60 pounds over a month ago for ten tablets!"
  • "These vets seem more interested in profits than pets. I was charged £23 for 2 (yes two) antibiotic tables."
  • "Absolutely shameful my dog had a spade op which we paid over odds for due to them adding extras on and they have a cheek to charge for a follow up this is a money grabbing business and clearly put money before your pets health.😠😠😠"

Facility and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Disabled friendly."
  • "The building is easy to use for both disabled people and able-bodied and there's a lovely car park, so you can park up and not worry about the main road and getting your pet out of your car."
  • "Good access for disabled/mobility issues."
  • "Parking is in good quantity and fairly accessible."
  • "The premises has a modern feel to it with split waiting areas for cats and dogs - genius!"
  • "Clean, spacious surgery."
  • "Cat and Dog waiting rooms separate. Examination rooms are a good size."

Cons:

  • "I have been to the vets in Rotherham for a while, staff are friendly and helpful but if you have a cat expect to be waiting over half an hour, every time we go and we arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, all the dogs go in first and the cats are left to listen to dogs barking."
  • "Attended again but on a wet day. The carpark is terrible for flooding."
  • "Making wheelchair and just general access difficult, the puddle was over ankle height."
