Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is absolutely amazing, the ingredients are of high quality and the flavours are beautifully blended together."
  • "The crispy pork belly was perhaps some of the best I've had - the inside was tender and fatty parts still sort of melted like it should, but the outer crusty was crunchier than I've ever seen."
  • "The slow cooked rib in the beef sliders was heavenly and melted in the mouth."
  • "The succulent fried chicken were one of the best I've had and the beef short rib and oxtail were just divine."
  • "Food was bursting with flavour."
  • "Every dish was freshly produced and tasted amazing, a unique destination in London’s ever crowded food scene – this is Filipino gastronomy at its absolute finest!"
  • "The food was very well prepared, the presentation was impressive and the umami was out of this world."

Cons:

  • "In general the dishes were too salty, especially the beef soup."
  • "However, all of our mains lacked a lot of flavour, some parts of the dishes seemed reheated."
  • "The pork was a little dry and one piece of chicken was red, almost bloody inside."
  • "The vegetarian version of the oxtail stew was honestly a bit plain."
  • "Honestly, it doesnt taste like philippines... Not worth the price."
  • "The Halo halo is very disappointing. The price don't match the taste."
  • "The grilled sea bass is over fried and salty, too much black beans sauce."

Service

  • "Extremely warm welcome, great service with a very attentive staff."
  • "The service couldn't have been better."

Cons:

  • "While the food was delicious, the service was quite disappointing."
  • "The only thing that brought it down was the staff as when walking in they kind of just looked at us and were interrupting one another and service throughout was just a bit awkward and inattentive."
  • "So the service was ok, could be improved very much. It’ll affect the whole experience to dine there."
  • "Never a 'thank you' or 'please' or any sort of kind words from the waitresses."
  • "The service was alright, not great but not bad either."
  • "It didn't help that the staff wasn't very friendly and more interested in their phones that in waiting the tables."
  • "The service was awful and you could see just how much they didn’t want to be there."

Ambience and Decor

  • "I like the interior of the place. It has a lot of Filipino touches that makes you feel closer to home."
  • "The atmosphere was calming."
  • "It has a cosy and intimate ambience with feature lighting and good acoustics."

Cons:

  • "Atmosphere was good, but was quiet when we were there."
  • "Only 'issue' was that the discretionary service charge did not at all feel discretionary, which spoilt the vibe a little."
  • "There was a huge party at the time we went, the guests being very loud, standing around, I got pushed a couple times."
  • "Felt a bit crowded on our table."
  • "Only reason I put 4 stars in atmosphere is that there was a very large table next to ours that was incredibly loud (like out of control)."
  • "The only drawback was the obnoxious party that dined next to us."
  • "We were hurried with the bill and to make a payment."

Value for Money

  • "They could definitely be charging more for food but they don't, which makes me like them even more."
  • "And prices are so so amazing, especially considering it's in Kensington."

Cons:

  • "The only criticism is that this place is expensive but the food is amazing."
  • "I’m only leaving 4 stars because it’s quite expensive."
  • "Wouldn't pay full price though (went during 50% off)."
  • "Food was a little bit on the expensive side but when it came out, the portion was what you paid for."
  • "Really really expensive."
  • "The food is quite expensive especially for what you’re getting, I think two starters and two mains cost roughly £70."
