Venue and Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "Absolutely brilliant atmosphere. Loved most of the acts I went to see."
  • "Really enjoyed the Wednesday night show we saw! All the comedians were fantastic and the crowd was really fun!"
  • "Venue was really really warm and at a point it was just uncomfortable."
  • "The place was small but cozy, however, there was a massive noise coming from the air conditioning."

Cons:

  • "Venue absolutely sucks. Chair are awfully uncomfortable, small, very fragile with no back support."
  • "The venue was really really warm and at a point it was just uncomfortable. The chairs as well were not comfortable."
  • "The club isn't large but everyone gets guaranteed seating. The comedy sets are well organised and entertaining."
  • "Small comedy club in the basement of The Tron. We went during the fringe, and it was quite difficult to find the entrance."

Service and Staff

Pros:

  • "Staff are super friendly and efficient. Table service during the show was super fast."
  • "Staff were excellent and being able to order drinks and food from your seat straight to you was easy."
  • "Staff are so polite friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble."
  • "The staff moved everyone around efficiently, the directions were clear and the view was good."

Cons:

  • "Good venue..1 comedian and the compare were 5 star, one was 3 star..2 were 1 star...they didn't open the doors until 10 mins before."
  • "Comedy was great, staff are useless. Much better venues available in Edinburgh."
  • "The most annoying thing was that the confirmation email says its open an hour before the show and you should be there at least 15bmins before...they didn't open the doors until 10 mins before."
  • "They charged me £54 for pizzas that I never received because 'their system was down'."

Comedy and Performances

Pros:

  • "The 4 comedians were superb and very skilled at incorporating their set to fit the audience."
  • "We were warned some acts were new to stand up comedy but they were all great. 100% recommend."
  • "The show was funny, with a mix of different styles of comedy. Which includes everyone."
  • "Absolutely superb. Very small venue, but worth the effort to find it. The compere Rick Molland is brilliant."

Cons:

  • "Not a bad comedy club. Felt a bit underwhelmed when I attended what was labeled as 'The Big Show' on a Friday night."
  • "Sadly 2 of them were really unfunny (female and lad with specs) but fortunately the host and 2 comedians made up for the lesser enjoyable ones."
  • "2 out of the 4 acts were clearly too drunk. One didn't even seem prepared."
  • "While the acts were clever and entertaining, the MC was a putz and obviously has no education or training in club management."
