Atmosphere & Ambience

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere is a little less casual than your average London pub, it has a wide range of drinks on offer and plenty of seating inside and in the beer garden."
  • "Visited after work with some colleagues. Place was packed and a great atmosphere. Managed to find seats for 5 of us to eat. Excellent food, excellent service and a great vibe."
  • "Really cosy pub - the real London experience with large fires and small areas where you can sit with friends to chat."
  • "Really nice, traditional British pub with a lot of room for bigger and smaller groups. The beer garden in the backyard is also really nice and spacious."
  • "It's like a TARDIS. From the outside it's an oldey worldy small pub, but from the inside it is big traditional, full of atmosphere, great garden."
  • "The entire atmosphere is totally great, very cosy, very warm."
  • "Wow!!! What a cozy place with an atmosphere I can only liken to that of a cosy cabin with homely touches and so many cosy nooks to hide away in you are simply spoiled for choice."

Cons:

  • "Not as cosy as it used to be 5-10 years ago."
  • "Sadly it's just not what it used to be."
  • "Not only do they offer a lamb option but it was the best sunday roast I've had."
  • "The meat was fatty, cheap cuts and so over cooked and chewy I couldn’t finish it."
  • "What really lets this pub down is the food."
  • "It’s over priced for the quality and amount of food."
  • "I've never seen so many flies in a pub, hundreds - it was mental. And full of kids running around all evening too."

  • "The staff seemed totally inept and lifeless, our server lacked basic customer service skills such as welcoming us."
  • "Lovely venue but the staff and kitchen completely let the place down. Staff at the bar verges on the unpleasant."
  • "Really appalling service, was celebrating my birthday there yesterday and ordered some Aperol Spritz, which came very watery and when tried to talk to the manager about it she was the rudest and most defensive person ever."
  • "Extremely rude staff, we had Claire; eyes-rolling, head shaking - not sure she belongs in hospitality."
