  • "Found the staff very rude, waiting for a click and collect order, while two people carried on working didn’t acknowledge me."

Store Layout & Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Huge DIY store! Areas are clearly labelled above."
  • "This is a huge B&Q and has pretty much everything you could ever need."
  • "Big B&Q loads of space for cars, signs on all isles so easier to find what you need."
  • "Broadest range of products overall, best for timber cutting to size, best off the shelf range."

Cons:

  • "Finding stuff if you are wheelchair bound is very difficult, as I can't see above 4ft above the floor, and with the dim lighting."
  • "The car park surface has obviously been bombed in the war and needs tarmacing."
  • "Visited when it rained and the bottom half of the car park was out of use due to flooding."
  • "Could do with a serious update. First time I've been in here for years and it looks exactly the same apart from looking very dated, messy and badly laid out."
  • "Toilets are like 'the bogs' in the 80's as a child. Needs sorting desperately!"
  • "It's a B&Q and I have to fix a sink.. had all the parts I need some empty shelves so not everyone will find what they need."

Pricing & Offers

Pros:

  • "They should offer 10% off for all Tradepoint card holders like other retailers do."
  • "But judging by the stock in there lots of people must find a useful place to shop."
  • "If I do come in I tend to use the B&Q loyalty card as I can get vouchers and money off my next purchase."
  • "Was pleasantly surprised to get a 10 percent discount, as it was a Wednesday, and seniors still get the discount on garden products!"
  • "Check receipt as I saved £10 ! As price in sale didn't come up on tills and only noticed when walking out if the store."

Cons:

  • "Decent enough B&Q - useful when you need it. What does annoy me about them in general is that they often sell the same items as Screwfix, but with inflated prices."
  • "Good site, nice staff but when items are half price online delivered... It only makes sense for when you're desperate for something. They refuse to price match too."
  • "Originally shopped for plywood but the prices were prohibitive."
  • "Not happy as did a click and collect for a hot tub as 2 showing in stock only to do a 70 mile journey to collect to find they had cancelled my order due to the stock being wrong."
  • "Unfortunately this discount doesn’t last and as I wasn’t spending so much the discount dropped to 5% so I started buying from elsewhere."
  • "Great order a worktop for delivery on a specific day & then they decide to do the delivery on another day not a happy customer."
  • "Huge DIY store with pretty much everything you could need, however it's not that cheap."
