Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The Full English breakfast was delicious, and the service was quick and efficient."
  • "Food was good for airport standard although not the freshest I have eaten."
  • "Enjoyed some garlic bread & cheese, it was all gone before I thought about a photo - really nice though."
  • "The menu prices were reasonable, and the quality of the food exceeded our expectations."
  • "Very good Beef and Doom ale pie! Large menu, nice place to get something to eat comfortably before boarding."
  • "I've always thought Wetherspoons offered standardised fare but wasn't particularly special. I've changed my mind because of one of the staff here."
  • "I had the most amazing, well presented tasty chicken and paneer makhani curry at this Wetherspoons."
  • "The food here was excellent...we had what they call brunch, but was in fact a mini breakfast, and it was great....also had a pizza and it looked and tasted great."

Cons:

  • "£17 for breakfast is awful, beans were stone cold, one tiny mushroom."
  • "Overall the food was disappointing for the price paid. Burger was small, bland and not great."
  • "Food was disappointing and not cheap.... the burger description made it sound pretty good but ended up being like a little hamburger."
  • "Undercooked bacon, beans are awful."
  • "Food is average, portion of burger was small, the panini was nothing special."
  • "Dry, reheated food. Brought over the wrong meal insisting it's what I ordered."
  • "Ordered a Traditional breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and tea. The food was cold apart from the lukewarm beans and sausage."
  • "Dry, reheated food. Brought over the wrong meal insisting it's what I ordered. Previous experience had us ordering breakfast in which pieces of plastic were in the food from how they'd attempted to cook poached egg."

Service and Efficiency

Pros:

  • "Quick service as it should be when everyone was in a rush to catch their flights."
  • "Really good to be able to use the app to order food and drinks and not have to go to the bar with bags. Food and drink arrived 5 minutes after ordering."
  • "We ordered drinks from the app and within minutes they were with us. Friendly staff even when the place was packed."
  • "Considering how busy this place was, I was pleased with how fast the service was."
  • "We had a few drinks so were served by different staff members, all as pleasant as each other."
  • "Wow, we sat down in a very very busy place ordered on the app drinks arrived within 2 minutes, food within 10 mins."
  • "Staff doing regular loops round regular checks and plates removed within 1 minute of finishing."
  • "Excellent range of options from full on mega breakfast to more healthy low cal / fruit and cereal / veg options. Calorie counts most welcome. Had better breakfast here than at £300 per night hotel in oxford and much better service."

Cons:

  • "Absolutely packed most of the time, a struggle to get a seat and a beer or two."
  • "Food was lovely but wish staff a bit more cheerful. They all looked miserable."
  • "It's a bit of a faff ordering on the app, I spotted a menu on another table which made ordering easier."
  • "A couple of downsides, one was that I saw a member of staff acting in quite a bossy way toward another staff member which was quite off-putting."
  • "Absolute disgrace with the attitude of the staff. Snappy barmaid with an attitude that should not be in hospitality."
  • "Very very busy due to its location. Food was good and service was fast but without the personal touch."
  • "The airport is being done up so I understand that services aren't as normal but it was just too busy, there wasn't an inch of space available in the restaurant."
  • "Staff seem to be struggling with the social distancing rules. Quite rude and abrupt, slow service, cold food and drinks came 10 minutes after food."
