Cons:

  • "We only ordered a couple of coffees and a toasted t cake we received our coffee which was nice but were kept waiting over 20 minutes for 1 toasted t cake."
  • "The food is overpriced rubbish, £4.50 kids breakfast beans sausage and egg 😮 where's the bacon and tomato."
  • "Awful service, awful food and awful people."
  • "50 minutes wait for a breakfast is ridiculous."
  • "The previously lovely restaurant is let down by the new ordering system which makes a 45 minute wait for a cuppa and cake the standard order of the day at weekends."
  • "The cafe is a disappointment - paid £25 for two jacket potatoes with tuna and then a ham and mustard sandwich which I feel aren't up to cafe standard at all."
  • "Definitely had better brunches, rubbery tasting quiche arrived with side of cress an lettuce leaf definition of salad absent, poor service left waiting for cutlery, then left waiting for condiments appalling customer service."

Customer Service

Pros:

  • "Staff always helpful l am disabled and have brought several different friends to your place excellent cafe and any concerns with flowers are always dealt with."
  • "It became my favourite not only because of the great range of products and the quality customer service but for the fact that it was the only place to offer me that complete experience I was looking for."

  • "First time I've been here and ask an assistant if they sold pond liner ..she said no we don't ....really a garden centre that doesn't sell pond liner?"
  • "This was possibly the worst bacon and egg sandwich I've ever had the misfortune to purchase, my wife couldn't face her bacon and tomato sandwich as there was so much fat it was ridiculous."

  • "A very rude woman in the cafe has put me off returning and I have been coming for many years."
  • "The chef called James is the most rude person along with a waitress called Nicki."
  • "The one thing to spoil it is the attitude of some of the cafe staff and in particular the cafe manager who was downright rude today."

Accessibility and Facilities

Pros:

  • "Some might say that the 7 mile run to get there is a bit too much but for a gardening enthusiast like me it is definitely worth it."

  • "Went with a friend for a walk round and coffee x lovely little garden center and the cafe is great, loads of seating family friendly and easy access for wheel chairs."
  • "Large car parking area, disabled parking and toilets. Cafe suitable for wheelchair users, prams, disabled."

Cons:

  • "Unless I wanted to take her out the trolley that wouldn't push along the gravel it meant I couldn't view 80% of the plants available."
  • "All good but a bit confused with directions as you zig zag as you go around & if you go to cafe staff were really nice helpful & when you leave there is no sign to exit towards car park so have to walk all the way through garden centre zig zag as you go but difficult for elderly lady of 92!!!!!"
  • "Lovely place. Staff good & helpful. Only thing is that disabled carpark! There're 2 disabled parking places are filled with things."
  • "Card only, throughout the shop which I, personally, find very frustrating. It is not mandatory by law so customers should be given the option of cash or card."
  • "The only reason I have deducted 1 star is the entrance is terrible you walk straight into the houseplant section which is cramped and with narrow aisles."
  • "Only 3 stars because people are not adhering to the 2 metre rule staff are controlling numbers but really not good enough."
  • "Plant trolleys blocking pathways also staff member putting sale information up not attempting to move shiny cardboard off the floor so as I could walk by safely with my stick."
