Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Chicken was tender and seasoned well."
  • "The noodles come as what I expected, fabulous deep fried prawn, and the siumai are made of good quality meat filling."
  • "The duck is well cooked and yet the sauce is a bit too salty (acceptably level)."
  • "Of all places to find good Rendang Sapi.... Is in the middle of Heathrow Airport... I don't know where they got their recipe but it's spot on, Indonesian level spicy too!"
  • "The food is delicious that is better than more than 90% Asia food that I even to have before."

Cons:

  • "The wonton skin is thin on one end, and thick on the other... it is actually so thick that it is not fully cooked."
  • "The wontons were small and half chewy dough and not very good. Not worth the price at all."
  • "The chicken noodle soup was very salty and chicken had no taste but good quantity for the price."
  • "Siew Mai served couldn't even sit upright in the basket, prawn paste with bits of prawn used."
  • "The food is overly expensive, made with no subtlety."

Service Quality

Pros:

  • "Service was nice, and the restaurant was spacious and had a great atmosphere."
  • "My server was Divina, friendly, efficient and kind."
  • "The kindness and welcoming of the staff is a real added value for me."
  • "The service was flawless and the food was delicious."
  • "Service is slow, staffs shouting at each other in the kitchen."

Cons:

  • "When it came to ordering, it took over 1 hour for a kids meal and two duck noodle meals to arrive to our table."
  • "The restaurant was only half full and it doesn’t seem understaffed to me."
  • "I asked one of the staff for chilli sauce and she then went on to forget about it."
  • "The food was served nearly an hour after ordering and was completely cold."
  • "The bone-in duck was impossible to eat with the fork and spoon provided and what morsels of flesh that could be prized free were slimy and sad."

Ambiance and Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "I liked the soup as well. The dish itself was not super delicious, but it was good enough for its price."
  • "Love the decor, it's chic and great background music."
  • "Best of all is the calm and quiet atmosphere away from the bustle of Terminal 2."
  • "A well organised space. I asked to sit at the back and was accommodated."
  • "Great find in a dismal airport terminal. Staff were welcoming, friendly - enjoyed the banter."

Cons:

  • "The air conditioning was extremely cold and a bit like an in house storm."
  • "Standard of staff’s service has quite a variation."
  • "They were a little understaffed so weren't able to open the section with the view."
  • "The restaurant used to offer a ‘kids eat free’ meal, but now charge for the children’s menu."
  • "The staff member at the entrance who seated us to our table was very kind. However, when it came to ordering, it took over 1 hour for a kids meal and two duck noodle meals to arrive to our table."

Price and Value

Pros:

  • "Food prices here were reasonable compared to lots of other restaurants at the airport."
  • "The price is not bad for an airport restaurant."
  • "Prices are similar to most airport restaurants, but you definitely get your money's worth."
  • "The pricing was great and the atmosphere was amazing."
  • "Highly recommend the lychee martini if you are a lychee fan."

Cons:

  • "The oolong tea was overpriced and mediocre."
  • "We had to pay 7£ extra per person for a small portion of jasmine rice!"
  • "The roast duck was flavourful and authentic, woodear mushroom salad was good but could have been better if they added salt to the woodear."
  • "The service was flawless and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the lychee martini if you are a lychee fan."
  • "We were also told by the waitress that no bubble tea was in stock as it had ‘finished for the day’ (which we tried to order with our meal), only to find out on leaving that it had been in stock the whole time, but the restaurant temporarily suspends it when they deem it to be busy (which is confusing, as it is listed as an item on the menu that is brought to the table)."
