Customer Service Experience

Pros:

  • "Hi I don’t normally go shopping for recipes as I get stressed so I asked one of your colleagues called julie for help which she’s didn’t have to I have autism which Julie did not know, and she still took 10mins out of her work time to walk around Asda helping me with my long shopping list."
  • "All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would give special mention the the cleaner working really hard In The toilets. Thank you for your efforts to keep us safe and clean."

Cons:

  • "Old woman called Sarah on the customer service kiosk snapped at me as an Uber driver for asking the other woman (Karen) if my Uber order has come through."
  • "Who ever thought it’d be a good idea to leave this woman on customer service needs to question their management skills because this woman should never be able to interact with any form of customer."
  • "Shocking, till staff slow, only 1 person collecting the locked away stock for 6 tills."
  • "The lady on the kiosk was a right jobs worth. My misses was using her colleague card and the lady was like your card need to be signed but she wasn't saying it in a nice way."
  • "Staff are grumpy and unapproachable. Shop floor is a mess, incorrect prices marked on a lot of goods."
  • "Call here just for convenience and only for small amounts considering they seem to put the prices up from week to week. Some of the staff are very nice at least 3 or maybe 4 but the majority are very rude."
  • "Won't go back, I don't think I have met such miserable staff anywhere I have ever been. Something fundamentally wrong in this place, never before seen such a collection of people so disinterested in delivering basic service."

Facilities and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Free parking for 4hrs, easy access for all - there are ramps, lifts and stairs. The Asda is close to town, so it's easy to access the town too. Situated in a lovely place by the canal, good for walks and lovely cafés, restaurants nearby."
  • "A lovely array of empty shops flanked by a supermarket and an overpriced cinema but at least as you walk to it from your car, with a free four hour stay for. At least for now."

Cons:

  • "Went today as had to drop a parcel off & decided to use the loo. Disabled toilet locked. Had to use the main loo...all toilet full of paper. Disabled one wouldn't flush."
  • "To top it all they have purposefully created a bottle neck by the cafee till which is the thru way to the loos pay placing gardening stuff on cages right beside the till queue. I could only just get my mobility scooter through."
  • "Car park is terrible, those travelators and lifts to asda are dangerous. The shop itself doesn't stock as much as the Asda nearby in Winsford."
  • "It's a supermarket from the future with a carpark in the sky and a moving floor which you stand on to get to and from the main door. There was a mix of people, some wealthy and some not so.. the carpark was not judgmental, so I found it ok to park my 03 avensis next to a brand new Merc without getting told to move."

Product Availability and Selection

Pros:

  • "Handy one stop shop for everything you need, plenty of room and well stocked. Free car park with ample parking and handy location for the rest of the town centre."
  • "Very large interior, allowing for the large variety of products, with alright prices for the current price inflation, lots assistance, has a café, pick n mix, toilets and a fitting room for clothes as well as the free 4 hour car park above it."

Cons:

  • "Not so good. Price scanners not available and shelves not filled regularly. A lot of times i will get to a shelve and it is empty, forcing me to go to another shop."
  • "Stock levels often low and poor rotation means that dates are regularly short. On occasions some staff have been unhelpful or lacked any knowledge of products."
  • "Selection is very poor and a rather small shop for Asda. We hoped to start doing our full shop here but after it opened, we realised the poor selection meant we could not so continue to Shop at Tesco."
  • "I shoped in Asda at Northwich on 22nd Sep 2022 and hated the experience, the music was so loud I had jam waxey earplugs in my ears to try and block out the sound and it still sounded loud."

Cleanliness and Maintenance

Pros:

  • "Store is usually clean and tidy but I never seem to be able to find anyone on the shop floor to ask for help."

Cons:

  • "We grabbed a quick bottle of pop & went to the toilet. 1 toilet has an out of order sign on the door. The other three toilets also needed signs. None of them were flushing & they looked a mess."
  • "Asda Northwich can only be described as a health hazard. The cafe looks as though it has never been cleaned (but is used by filthy animals that don't know how to feed themselves without making a disgusting mess)."
  • "It's ok. Looked brilliant the whole building when it was new. Now with all the nets everywhere, it’s looking a bit sorry for itself. Shame it’s falling apart already and inside has never been quite finished with, with plaster board and filling still on show."
