Staff and Service Quality

Pros:

  • "The team is very nice and Dr Fiona is very helpful with lots of knowledge and always a warm welcome."
  • "Unbelievably good. I had pain all over my body. Decided to come try one treatment but it felt almost like a miracle."
  • "The staff were professional and thoroughly explained everything as they went along."
  • "After the massage and acupuncture I felt so much lighter and happier."
  • "The staff were very kind and assisted me with all the issues I explained."
  • "The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable, particularly Fiona."
  • "Dr Fiona was great with the acupuncture and massage session. Tried the cupping for the first time and feeling better than I did when I walked in."

Cons:

  • "They seem to only be interested in your money. Very poor service in every way."
  • "When I arrived, I was then told I could only have the £120 option as they need to target my face, this is a lot more than I had anticipated to spend."
  • "Don't waste your money people."
  • "I don't think you should argue with a client that you're massaging or even challenge them in that way."
  • "I endured this to the end but felt very uncomfortable and certainly no better."
  • "I have been to other Chinese massage salons and understand that sometimes it can be “transactional” in nature, but usually the massage is fantastic quality, but this was not a good experience."
  • "Terrible place. Had booked appointment with the acupuncture place across the road and mistakenly walked into this place."

Atmosphere and Environment

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly."
  • "Very welcoming and friendly place."
  • "The place is clean and friendly. The doctor Fiona was the sort of person who you could talk to and felt comfortable."
  • "The room was clean, warm and quiet. With soothing music playing which went with the overall ambience."
  • "The place is very clean with a pleasant atmosphere."
  • "people are friendly and the place is very cozy and welcoming."
  • "Premises are clean and tidy."

Cons:

  • "During the appointment I unfortunately did not find it relaxing as all I could hear was loud music from the reception area."
  • "All I could hear was loud music from the reception area with someone in the clinic singing very loudly."
  • "Toilet doesn't have a lock."
  • "The therapist took a phone call during the treatment and the alarm system was beeping every minute throughout."
  • "Nobody called me, please don't make things up. I don't have a problem with paying first, I do have a problem with being walked in on while undressing, and somebody playing a game on their phone the whole time they are dealing with me."
  • "Strange experience, felt more like a sales pitch to try and get me to buy as many things as possible rather than understanding the health issues I have."
  • "Not at all relaxing, and mostly very painful a massage. I will not be going back."

Value and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Good value and great for anyone who's spent too long at a makeshift home desk!"
  • "An excellent, friendly & professional service which provides great customer value!"
  • "I would recommend to anyone looking for acupuncture treatment at a reasonable price."
  • "I took a 6 x treatment package and found it great value."
  • "Good quality for money."
  • "I also got free Tea and medicine with treatment."
  • "I had a deep tissue massage and it was amazing!"

Cons:

  • "Afterwards it was again a sales pitch about purchasing a £50 foundation (which I declined) as according to Dr Fiona my skin is too spotty and white."
  • "Although this procedure is expensive... Especially as a student."
  • "She also tried to sell me a course of acupuncture for £800 which I again declined, but still added £10 extra onto my bill as a deposit for a future appointment."
  • "Dr Fiona is a thief and a fraud(charge extra costs without consulting)."
  • "Such a shame. I never got to experience a massage here. Arrived for my 1pm booking and was told it was £50 despite the leaflet I'd picked up from the shop that said £45 and was told the leaflet was old, plus the £5 off first visit wasn't valid."
  • "The receptionist then came in at the end and asked whether I wanted another half hour massage with a Chinese masseuse for an additional £35 over the £50 already paid."
  • "I will return when I can next afford it."

  • "I would definitely recommend this salon to my friends."
  • "I have already recommended this centre to my friends and family."
  • "I would highly recommend to anyone."

Cons:

  • "I did not have a good experience with Fiona. She is stressed, from the phone calls I had with her, and even doing the acupuncture, she constantly tries to over sell the herbs, the acupuncture voucher, and even asked me for a deposit for the next session?"
  • "Don’t do facial acupuncture here. She showed me before after picture but obviously she used the app to make my face much more shaped and weirdly big eyes for the after picture."
  • "Thoroughly dishonest people"
  • "Extremely poor massage. I don't think the lady was an actual masseuse."
  • "Before she would even let me pay she made me leave a ‘positive’ review on google."
  • "Customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. Receptionist was very abrasive in pushing extra services."
  • "I still felt no relief."
