Fitness Center and Sports Facilities
Pros:
"Excellent fitness center to engage, relax, and grow your muscles."
"They have variety of sports options both outdoors and indoors."
"A large modern new public sports center, with ample parking."
"Amazing leisure centre...interested in badminton, Table tennis, short tennis & tennis."
"One of the good gyms in Berkshire and definitely the best in Maidenhead."
"Very hygienic and well maintained...a range of classes from zumba to indoor cycling."
"Plenty of parking, bit expensive but easy. Can pay with change or via app/phone."
"Great facility - having recently moved to the area this facility, in particular the swimming pool, has been fantastic for my family."
Cons:
"Parking isn't as cheap as other leisure centres, but there was plenty of spaces."
"They could have done so much with this space, instead there is a large 'empty' space downstairs."
"A very modern and contemporary design user friendly facilities with helpful staffs. Unfortunately the coffee from the restaurant @£2.45 a cup tasted nothing but just hot water and a bit of colour."
"They refused to let me look att cctv and they even failed to put sign to warn people that there are theft happening for 2 weeks now!"
"The gym is shockingly small. I have never been into one so small."
"Easy to book swiming family leasure session on weekend...You need to pay for parking your car, 2.90 if you Park for 2 hours."
"Parking is expensive...Also you need to make sure you 'end your parking' when using the app. Or else it will charge you for a whole day."
"Since the Magnet Leisure centre was knocked down for flats, this is the only gym near by. I am disappointed with the layout of the gym and the poor hours."
Pool and Swimming Facilities
Pros:
"This is a lovely well presented new pool."
"Pool was clean with clearly marked lanes."
"The pool is excellent and the receptionist's are very polite, friendly and helpful."
"Very clean swimming pool and around areas, shower and changing rooms, free hair dryers."
"Great pool, gym has a fantastic range of equipment, friendly staff."
"Nice pool but let down by terrible booking system and no one answers phone so you have to visit in person to book and then go back for session."
"The pool and changing area are clean and spacious."
"The spa/sauna is nice too with a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and few hot/cold showers."
Cons:
"Unfortunately, when we arrived in the pool area we were told by the lifeguard that the children's pool wasn't actually open due to school swimming lessons."
"Also not suitable for young children as kids pool has water jets that are on all the time."
"Great leisure centre, apart from having the lock on my locker forced open twice whilst swimming at lunchtimes."
"The pool is busy, and it can be difficult to enjoy the lanes as most are full of people having a natter instead of swimming."
"The swimming pool is ok, not as much fun for little ones as it could have been."
"Horribly expensive, Crowded £22 + £3 parking for spa and swim. Jacuzzi just a ripple."
"During my swim, a lifeguard approached me and asked me to leave the pool, claiming that I was not capable of swimming in a complete circle."
"The pool had so toxic smell that it stays in my nose for hours after that."
Customer Service and Staff Attitude
Pros:
"Receptionist was lovely and helpful."
"The reception staff were very friendly and helpful."
"Prince, the receptionist was very friendly and polite and booked us in."
"The staff went out of there way to try and move the lanes over so a section of the adult pool could be cleared for us."
"Sampriti, was an amazing ambassador for Braywick, showing me around with a great knowledge, positive attitude all delivered with a fun outlook."
"Took our 4 month old here to have a little splash & dash on a busy Friday morning. The facilities were brilliant, and the young lifeguard sourced us a floatation device for a small baby which was a great example of what 'brilliant' customer service looks like."
"Every time I asked questions about something they offer(pricing), the receptionist referred me to the website, other than answer."
"I looked a little bit lost as I walked into BLS as I was stunned by the architecture. Having looked back down after looking at the upper architecture, I was greeted by an absolute gentleman called Jonny Walker , Jonny was a true professional."
Cons:
"We were very disappointed. I spoke with a manager and explained we only wanted to use the baby section of the children's pool."
"What surprised me was that I was asked to leave during a super off-peak time, without causing any disruption to other swimmers."
"Rude gym manager called Michelle- never seen someone treat others with such little respect."
"What I witnessed yesterday was nothing short of bullying. A female manager (who I believe is called Michelle), was terrorising people in the changing rooms yesterday."
"Braywick- please take action, as I know this manager has a reputation, and various gym-goers have already moved to David Lloyd over her behaviour."
"Simply terrible at answering their phones. In the last few months I have never, ever managed to get through to anyone whenever I've needed to cancel a session or just in of need some extra information about a facility etc."
"I love this place, its amazing in every aspect except one of their senior female manager who don't even know how to communicate with members, she dealt with me in a very rude attitude at two different occasions."
"The new complex it's great but I'm very disappointed on tonight's zumba class was so cheesy I couldn't wait for it to finish reminded me of something like 80 top of the pops aerobics class.. nothing Latin or zumba about it... normally is energetic and fun with the Latin music ...1/10 for class."
