Store Layout and Cleanliness

Pros:

  • "Everything you need under one roof - except a Post Office!"
  • "Makes the west swindon Asda look like a corner shop; huge place with a very large selection."
  • "A large supermarket (apparently the largest in Europe). Always busy, on a retail park with other shops, large car park with Asda fuel station."
  • "Great place to shop lots of products at good prices does get a little bit crowded at certain times but overall good."
  • "Big store with a good selection of products."
  • "Huge store, good parking, well stocked and well managed, competitively priced, and normally plenty of tills / self service, staff on hand to meet demand, which is normally high."
  • "Great place to shop everything under one roof, I went on Friday about midday it was a little busy but it has a lot of varied items and plenty of them."

Cons:

  • "Beware of this shop! Shopping is alright, but should you need to use the toilet, you are in for a very nasty surprise."
  • "Mess on shelfs! Lots of empty boxes."
  • "Loads of used and discarded face masks outside the main entrance, litter bins hadn't been emptied."
  • "Extremely messy layout of the store with products scattered in multiple locations."
  • "Shelves always empty."
  • "Massive trolleys blocking practically every aisle while re-stocking."
  • "It's big and the layout is disorientating. Ask a member of staff for help to find goods and either get marched from one end of the store to the other, completely bypassing what you are after or just get told I don't know."

Product Availability and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Nothing I bought was restricted so let's hope it stays that way."

  • "Every time I shop there there's hardly any freezer food, which is so annoying."
  • "Poor stock. Consistently getting large amounts of substitutions on home delivery."
  • "Unexplained shortages of stuff like mushrooms, leeks, lettuce and citrus fruit."
  • "I occasionally find I have been charged for something I didn't buy but virtually every time I purchase an offer such as today, two cakes for £1.00, normally £0.75 each, I was charged £1.50 for the two so no discount."
