Cons:
"The lady that came out to the car park to check tickets could do with a freshen up on manners."
"Woman who runs the place at the desk was incredibly rude from the start."
"The staff was following me around the sanctuary shouting at me to put my mask back up over my nose."
"The member of staff that explained the park wasn't open was polite but didn't offer any apology or sympathy at all."

"We had a lovely welcome from the lady at the ticket office - good amount of parking."
Cons:
"Some of the monkeys were quite sad, or seemed it."

"Seeing the wolf pace round its small enclosure for the duration of my visit was heartbreaking."
"Was heartbreaking seeing some of the apes. They looked so sad and depressed."
"The enclosure design was not suited to a lot of the animals there."
"The Savannah cat was pacing up and down in a tiny cage."
"The cages are so small as well, which was a but disappointing."
"The "wolf" dogs, as so proclaimed, were mostly rescued from Poland but I'd say they've been kept in similar conditions."
Facilities and Amenities
Pros:
"Plenty of seating areas for picnics and a small shop that helps raise funds to run the sanctuary."
"There is a huge secondhand book shop in the reception as well."
"They have great picnic areas throughout the park, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the animals around you while you eat."
"We tried out the buggy rides to see the highland cows, that was fun and new."
"There are plenty of picnic tables around for a pit stop or picnic."
"There is no cafe or food to buy on site but cold drinks are available to buy."
"Good amount of parking."
"Set aside half a day to have a wonder around, take a picnic if you like too."
Cons:
"The sanctuary itself you could probably walk around within 20-30mins, there is nothing to overwhelming and seems compact."
"No food or snacks on site but coffee machine and a place to stop."
"At only £11 per person going towards a good cause this is worth a visit if you are passing by."
"The only question I would have is why are the meerkats in such a small enclosure."
"The lady on reception was fantastic at answering any questions, though."
"There was lots of information of most of the animals but I do recommend that the signs do need updating to be slightly more friendly and easier to read."
"They also had a 2nd hand shop there which had to good stuff in."
"I found it difficult to see into some of the cages because of the layout, some of their buildings where obscuring the few into the cages."
Value for Money
Pros:
"The charity works hard looking after the animals it rescues, and the price for entry is not unreasonable."
"Lovely place for a quick visit and not too expensive."
"At only £11 per person going towards a good cause this is worth a visit if you are passing by."
"Your money for the ticket goes to looking after these beautiful animals at this sanctuary."
"The ticket prices are very reasonable."
"So glad we were lucky with weather, staff really friendly and helpful, admission price more than fair."
"Great value for money, which all goes to the upkeep of the animals."
"An excellent price for the whole family, less than £30 for 5 of us."
Cons:
"Worse than a zoo. Maybe instead of buying range rovers with private licence plates you could make adequate space for the animals in your 'care'."
"It's OK mixed one for me it was very busy on the day I went there with my grandchildren it's a bit 50/50 on cost to go in not as much as I expected."
"Nice place to visit as most of the monkeys are rescued. U will get round it in an hour if that so thought £29 for 3 adults and a child was dear even if it does go towards animals upkeep."
"Some of the inclosures looked over grown or had rubble around it eg a fire extinguisher next to the cage on the floor."
"Before I start the review I have no doubt that the people who work there love the animals and do everything they can to give them a happy life. However, from a visitors perspective the enclosures appear run down and could do with tidying up."
"The African Savannah Cat was shut in a tiny enclosure, however, I'm hoping that the large enclosure it's attached to is also for the cat, and it being shut in was just a temporary measure for something, as the constant pacing was upsetting to see."
"The one way system is organised. Lots of information on notice boards. I would recommend this. Bear in mind it is a sanctuary and not a zoo."
"It's not a day out so don't plan for it, we were done and gone in under 2 hours...but the kids absolutely loved it."
