Service and Staff Professionalism

Pros:

  • "Staff are very professional and kind."
  • "A kind and supportive reception team and excellent and attentive vets who listen and genuinely seem to care."
  • "The person I spoke to on the phone was so kind, she made me an appointment straight away."
  • "Very friendly and understanding staff, taking the time to get to know me and my pets."
  • "The care, compassion and kindness shown by every member of staff on both occasions has been exemplary."
  • "Absolutely brilliant! I am a nervous owner and was unsure how my dog would react but all the staff made the visit stress free."
  • "Truly a Vets FOR Pets! They could not have been more helpful."
  • "Friendly helpful reception staff. Also knowledgeable. Really nice friendly vet who knew his stuff."

Cons:

  • "Awful experience with vets4pets. Rude reception staff/snotty & judgemental asking how you intend to pay before treatment."
  • "Very rude receptionist Sunday 13/11, we found a poorly kitten and got an RSPCA log number to get him looked at but she said because I wasn't a client I would have to pay £170!!"
  • "Normally excellent. Despite being busy always able to help. Lately it has been absolutely impossible to get an appointment, receptionists have been very short on the phone."
  • "The Practice Manager is rude, abrupt and inconsistent."
  • "Just rang up to to speak to my vet about my ill dogs results to just be spoken to so rudely by the receptionist."

Cost and Pricing

Pros:

  • "The one fault is the cost of everything, but I would say its more the industry than this practice."
  • "Great vets. We were seen very quickly when we had an emergency with our little cat (who has since recovered). The vet we saw was very thorough and reassuring. Good pricing too."
  • "Second visit to get my two cats vaccinated. Significant savings when you use their Complete Care plan plus discounts to use in Pets at Home."

Cons:

  • "The downside is that it's extremely expensive. We took our cat there with an eye problem. For the vet to have a 5 minute look and do a blood test it was £183.00."
  • "Very responsive and easy to book but be very careful on how much they charge, they don't seem to have a pricing standard and just charge whatever they think you can afford."
  • "The vet that assisted me in the most unfortunate situation, done everything to manipulate me to agree to useless, unneeded operation and excessive debt (£2000)."

Compassion and Care

Pros:

  • "I've sadly had to say goodbye to both my greyhounds this year, one in March and one yesterday. The care, compassion and kindness shown by every member of staff on both occasions has been exemplary."
  • "We had to have our beloved dog put to sleep last week, (17 years old) The staff at Vets4Pets were amazing, let us spend long as we wanted with Benny before he was put to rest."
  • "Very caring vets, looked after my pets in the past when they have been poorly and always do everything with lots of thought, also received a lovely card recently through the post after my cat passed. Highly recommend."
  • "The staff are caring and the vet (Hannah) has been exceptional in undertaking investigations, explaining every step of the plan and contacting me to update."

Cons:

  • "Good for regular review when a review is not really needed. Terrible care otherwise."
  • "I believe this vets failed our little dog and us by failing to diagnose her problem resulting in her passing away!"
  • "Worse place I have ever had to have dealings with and would recommend you only take your loved animal there if all the other places in the entire world shut down. Terrible, horrible service."
  • "Took my little two year old dog in as he was obviously very unwell. The vet examined him and said he couldn't find anything seriously wrong with him, but should he get worse to bring him straight back in."
