  • "What a great place, the service was really friendly, the food was delicious, and the cafe/restaurant was a lovely countryside spot."
  • "The garden was beautiful and the marquee, despite being open and airy, felt warm and cosy with overhead heaters and subtle decorations."

Cons:

  • "Tough lukewarm steak in barely warm sauce. Potatoes that were hard and barely warm."
  • "The table was dirty. Given our food straight on that table. We had to ask for a cloth."

  • "Our table had not been cleaned as we arrived so staff had to clean it first."
  • "Just stopped for a cup of tea. Two of us had a pot of tea to share. Lovely tea, but we were surprised to find that three items of the crockery we were using had chips in them."

Food and Drink

Pros:

  • "The afternoon tea was reasonably priced and was delicious, there wasn’t much left by the end!"
  • "The best full breakfast we enjoyed all year, can't wait to return. Every bit was extra special."
  • "Coeliac safe afternoon tea! Knowledgeable and understanding staff. Delicious gluten free afternoon tea almost identical to 'normal' afternoon tea."
  • "Had the breakfast buffet, which is basically all the breakfast dishes on a serving platter. Scrambled egg perfect. Bacon, perfect. Thick cut ham perfect."
  • "The food was amazing, especially the quiche of the day, we even managed pudding despite feeling stuffed but didn't want to miss out."
  • "Had a fantastic birthday surprise here and would like to thank the staff, especially Annie who looked after us."

  • "I have been to this place 3 times or so. And each time they don't fail to amaze me. So full of flavor and so yumm!!! Their sticky toffee pudding is to die for."

Cons:

  • "Tough lukewarm steak in barely warm sauce. Potatoes that were hard and barely warm."
