  • "The food here is great, can't fault!"
  • "Can’t stop thinking about it & can’t wait to be back!"

Cons:

  • "The katsu certainly looked the part but sadly the taste was similar to an M&S ready meal."
  • "It’s a no-go for Coco as this place has sadly lost its soul."
  • "The falafel didn't have much of an impact in flavour or texture."
  • "It’s safe to say you clearly don’t wash your salad dressing then which is unhygienic."
  • "The sauce was a tad bit too salty and the chicken had a slightly burnt/smoky smell that lingered for a day or two."
  • "The thigh meat seemed an interesting choice for a burger as the meat was tough and the burger was falling apart in my hands."
  • "There was a maggot in my wife’s food. Enchiladas."

Service

Pros:

  • "The service received throughout was excellent."
  • "Service is excellent! I can't say enough good things about Coco's."
  • "Fab food, great service, even though we ended up on the middle floor, due to all tables full downstairs."
  • "Staff were excellent and very passionate."
  • "Helpful and friendly service, great menu with variety of interesting food (and drinks)."
  • "Service was quick, friendly and efficient."
  • "The staff were great and the service spot on."

Cons:

  • "Also felt very unwelcome by the rude staff."
  • "The only criticism I have of Coco’s is that I was disappointed to see that a lot of kitchen staff were not wearing hair nets, especially as one of the cooks had a large beard."
  • "Not sure if staff were just very busy but they were not talkative AT all and the tables/floor were a little sticky."
  • "The owner was ignorant and did not care it seemed."
  • "Very rude staff they do not stick to the law on distancing ruling."
  • "I've never been to a restaurant where you're reminded that you have to pay, as you're ordering at the till."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Prices range from 3.5-8 pounds. You can definitely eat for 4 pounds or less if you want though."
  • "Great food, good service and atmosphere. Chicken burgers are juicy and delicious."
  • "Very good value for money, worth a visit if you’re ever in Preston."
  • "The prices are really reasonable for the size of the portions and quality of food."
  • "Great value for the quality and portion size!"
  • "The price of food is astonishingly good value."
  • "Also really cheap prices for such tasty food."

Cons:

  • "Maybe that's the charm of the place, but it's not cheap and more attention could be paid to mucky window ledges."
  • "The fact that they charge for take out boxes too is a bit steep."
  • "The minimum £10 spend on cards is particularly disappointing."
  • "£9.50 for a very small portion of chips, bottle of water, and burger which wasn't anything to write home about..."
  • "The only reason I have left a 4-star review and not 5 is because I (unfortunately) found a hair in the rice with the jerk chicken portion, which meant I couldn’t finish it."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "On entry the vibe and atmosphere was great. Very welcoming and friendly."
  • "Their decorations and atmosphere plays a really important part to the whole experience."

  • "The food is exceptional."

Cons:

  • "Absolutely amazing! Ok the location/parking/size of place and general decor leaves a lot to be desired but the food is spot on."
  • "It's a shame because I do love the food and pricing here, but with no indication of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme being accepted or rejected and no social distancing/COVID measures in place it does worry me."
  • "Limited seating but has an upstairs which has had a local artist paint the walls."
  • "Before 5.30 they didn't open their upstairs, so it was very packed/cramped downstairs."
  • "It's just not a very big building so not loads of tables."
