Garden Centre & Facilities

Pros:

• "Servers were very attentive though and respected my request to keep the table next to us empty for a short while."

• "The café here is great, it serves hot and cold drinks and food."

Cons:

• "The restaurant however wasn’t, the wife had to queue 25 minutes just to get served, then waited 45 minutes for food."
• "The bacon was very fatty and the sausages were served pink inside and not very hot."
• "The chips were cold and the liver was just mushy and inedible."
• "The sandwiches​ when you bite into were cold so there were made first thing in the morning and put into a cold fridge."
• "The cake was awful - very dry."
• "The food here is well below par and not cheap either."
• "However, after queuing for 20 minutes I was told I could not place an order for sandwich with the rest of my order because the kitchen doesn’t start doing them for another 7 minutes."

Activities & Events

Pros:

• "Christmas here is good as they have ice skating."
• "It had an ice rink (temporary for Christmas I think) this would appeal to kids and adults and looked great."
• "Been many times before but went for the ice skating after New year. Lots of time and space on the ice, good sized rink."
• "Always a great place to visit all year round but even better at Christmas with the ice skating rink & the reindeer's."
• "A fabulous christmas display, never disappoints, always coming up each year with different displays."
• "We went for the ice skating which the children enjoyed using the plastic seals for support."
• "In Summer it has a fantastic sand pit bigger than some beaches. In winter a real ice ring."

Cons:

• "We visited this garden centre when there was a craft fayre on. It was totally rubbish, what a load of tat."
• "The bounce area also, rip off, £5 for 30 minutes £7 for an hour."
• "Carpark is now tarmac and not gravel, so that's a plus. Kids climbing playhouse has been very poorly thought out."
• "There is an unsupervised play area for the younger visitors and an interesting train shaped tables for them to use when having their breaks and refreshments, my only observation that security could be better here with a child proof latch and gate."

Animal Welfare

• "I drove to the garden centre on Sunday only to find signs that no dogs allowed at weekends."
• "Went to look for bedding plants, the indoor area had lovely birds all in very small cages, for sale. Surely they should have better ethics than to sell these."
