Service Quality
Pros:
"Absolutely outstanding service."
"Absolute quality reception members and the dental team that treated him were exceptional in their attitude and professionalism."
"Very welcoming and reassuring hygienist."
"This dental practice is an amazing place, their work is excellent."
"The whole team including the receptionists. Hygienist, dental nurses and of course the dentists are so fantastic."
"Very professional, knowledgeable dentists, who actually get that empathy, teaching and support is part of great service."
"Can't fault for customer service and services offered."
"The word dentist to me literally makes me feel ill, but from the 1st phone call to my 1st consultation and my 1st start of treatment I couldn’t of been made to feel so relaxed and comfortable here."
Cons:
"My wife recently attended this practice. She is elderly and has dementia and was charged £300 for two 40 min sessions with the hygienist. They suggested a further three appointments at a cost of £450. I considered the charges to be excessive."
"Good service if you can afford it. Not too happy with having to pay in full 3 months in advance in order to secure an appointment."
"I was told that I would have to wait a year before I got my tooth fixed and that I could wear a mask to cover my mouth so my missing tooth would not be shown to other people and then they wanted me to have 5 cleanings at £150 per session at 2 weeks apart and when I said could not afford that just to deal with it. I would not recommend them to anyone."
"I was and have been a very nervous patient for years. I had to have intensive treatment, but everyone involved was polite, caring and very reassuring, I cant thank the team enough for putting a smile back on my face."
Professionalism and Expertise
Pros:
"Absolute quality reception members and the dental team that treated him were exceptional in their attitude and professionalism."
"The dental team are also welcoming and again they make you feel at ease and they are very informative about whatever procedure you are going to receive."
"This was never going to be a pleasant experience but it has been made bearable by the knowledge, expertise, explanations and humour of Cameron."
"A thorough inspection is done by an extremely experienced dentist."
"Excellent, caring staff. I experienced a totally pain-free filling and the dentist, Chad, showed great consideration that I am anxious about dental work because of an underlying health condition."
"The dental nurses are very caring before, during, and after treatment."
"Excellent treatment and really well discussed with dental team with first class service."
"The team at Plymouth Dental Centre have been amazing always but particularly throughout the past year - they are friendly and professional - the place is always spotless and the whole clinic runs seamlessly."
Cons:
"Later, I found out the gum had been drilled through both sides which certainly didn't help the healing process. Its now April (nearly 4 months after the extraction!) and my extraction hole is starting to close but only because I ventured to pull out what looked like remnants of tooth together with the bone/collagen/calcium my body had tried to create."
"My mother was recommended nearly £1000 worth of unnecessary fillings- with a total treatment plan valued at over £2000. It's a good thing she has a dental professional in the family (too far to travel to but able to look at xrays and notes). Unimpressed to say the least, she paid over £200 on the day for a check up and temporary filling. Abuse of patient trust."
Comfort and Care
Pros:
"The reception staff are extremely welcoming and put you at ease very friendly and extremely helpful."
"First time I attended I was immediately put at ease after details were taken."
"This practice has turned me from a nervous patient to someone who is now very comfortable in the dentist chair."
"As a nervous patient who hadn't visited the dentist for over 5 years, I finally booked here after much soul searching & painful teeth & gums."
"I can not believe the team here. From a patient that cried and shook every time she came in, to a person who has reached her dream of being able to smile."
"Very friendly and professional staff who always put me at ease."
"Terrified and needing emergency treatment I found Plymouth Dental Centre of Excellence. My Appointment was with Chad. By far he is the best Dentist I have ever been to."
"I am a very nervous person when it comes to dentists but I can not fault the service from here they put me at ease and calm me down I am so pleased I now can smile again the staf are all smiles and so friendly."
Cons:
"Although going to the dentist is not something I look forward to, what I can say is that they make the experience as good as it can be, they are professional, kind and friendly whilst providing very good dental care."
"So unless I pay them £200 they will leave you in pain. I believe all the reviews are fake. And I would stay well clear of these robbers. All they won't is your money they don't care about your health."
"Turned up a bit early- was made to wait outside in pouring rain (in December 2020)."
"I have been attending this dentist for over 30 years, which must tell you something about what I think about the care that I have received and the staff are very friendly and professional and really do care about their patients."
