Tour Guides

Pros:

  • "Our guide Collin was amazing, he had tons of stories and was very energetic and funny during the whole experience!"
  • "Our guide, Anthony, was charming and engaging."
  • "Paul Henderson was charming, informative, professional and a wonderful ambassador for this company and for Scotland."
  • "Our guide Scott was kind, I loved how he narrated the stories of each place we visited and he was very funny."
  • "Our driver Alistair was a very fun, pleasant and energetic tour guide."
  • "The driver / guide Ryan was engaging, sometimes even enacting scenes from movies about Scotland with sound effects and everything."
  • "Our guide Stephen had a great sense of humour and was a very good storyteller!"

Cons:

  • "Our guide also did not like that people were not interacting with him as much as he wanted."
  • "While the commentary was engaging, it was non-stop, and I wished there was silence at least for a part of the journey."
  • "He also wanted us all to boo people who were 2 minutes late to the departure time which was ironic considering the whole company was late to start the tour."

Overall Experience

Pros:

  • "A 12 out of 10 experience."
  • "This tour was absolutely the highlight of our Edinburgh visit!"
  • "All in all it was an amazing experience."
  • "The stops visited were excellent."
  • "We really had a good time, we saw amazing places."
  • "Saw some of the most unbelievably beautiful things I believe I'll ever see in my life on this trip."
  • "The scenery was unbelievably beautiful."

Cons:

  • "The fact that the Loch Ness boat ride isn’t included is also strange."
  • "We didn’t even get a chance to stop and see the hairy cows!"
  • "We didn’t tour anything and only made a couple of stops to quickly take some pictures or use the toilets and then get right back in the bus."
  • "If you are looking for an opportunity to actually see anything other than the scenery quickly passing you by as you drive then this is not the tour for you."
  • "The spots they take you are full of tourists, even on weekdays."
  • "Overall, do NOT go on this if you're looking for: great pictures, sightseeing, adventure, or any kind of walking/hiking."
  • "I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone younger than 40."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "The trip was worth more than what I paid!"
  • "Overall for £67 I found it worth it and would recommend 😊"
  • "100% worth the money and a genuinely enjoyable day trip."
  • "Great value for money. You get to see a lot, plenty of interesting stops and our guide made it all come alive, non stop history, facts and humour!"
  • "The coach was full, but comfortable."
  • "Superb bus - really comfy for the 12-hour day and in excellent condition."
  • "The coach was comfy and had good aircon to keep the temperature inside nice and comfortable."

Cons:

  • "The description should be updated to account for the price change in the Loch Ness cruise as it read 16.5 pounds per adult, but we had to pay 18 pounds per adult."
  • "You got 2 hours to spend in Loch Ness, but they only take you there, so you can spend an extra 17 pounds per person to go on a cruise."
  • "There’s an optional cruise at Loch Ness which costs a bit extra as it’s run by a partner company."
