Booking System

Pros:

  • "Kamila health care assistant was kind and helpful regarding my 84 year old father in law. She supported us promptly with getting him an appointment for his blood test."
  • "Thank you Halim!!!! 😊...I called the Randolf surgery in pain and distress but was greeted with the warmest of welcomes from a Halim."
  • "I had to get blood tests done and was able to get an appointment very quickly (within the week) and the tests were quick and pain free, despite me being very afraid of needles!"
  • "Thank you for the fantastic service at Randolph Surgery. Chloe is one of the best healthcare professionals I’ve come across."
  • "Updated review. They have just reissued enough medicine for the next 2 months to avoid staffing issues - thank you!"

Cons:

  • "Surgery seems fine but the booking system for an appointment is totally backwards."
  • "Impossible to get any appointments - you cant book through the app, and the phone takes forever to respond."
  • "The worst GP surgery I’ve ever been under. Impossible to get through on the phone and I have had to give up many times after waiting for over an hour."
  • "This surgery is nearly impossible to reach and book appointments. They keep deferring us to the app which doesn't allow us to talk to a human directly."
  • "I wish I Could give them a zero star!!. I was deceived by the 4 stars review. It is almost impossible to book an appointment."

Staff Attitude and Professionalism

Pros:

  • "I had a very unique situation and when I approached Ahmad and Marium at Randolph Surgery, they gave me a patient hearing and helped me."
  • "A huge thank you to Dr.Mike, for being so caring in making my mum feel comfortable as well as being informative and understanding!"
  • "Dr Farooq is a fantastic diagnostician with a brilliant bedside manner, and an astute and efficient way of treating a wide range of conditions."
  • "I have been using the Randolph Surgery for many years. They are friendly, helpful, prompt and professional."
  • "Big thank you πŸ™ thank you to Dr. Farooq and the team at Randolph surgery.. we got an appointment immediately.."

Cons:

  • "I had a phone call consultation with a female GP. Dr Jen or so, could not figure out her name very well. Her attitude was very rude, she treated me with disrespect, shouting over the phone."
  • "The worst GP surgery I’ve ever been under. If by some miracle a GP picks up your consultation they will call you and if you do not answer they immediately call you again so that you do not pick up and they can throw your consultation away."
  • "Horrible treatment. After waiting on the phone for nearly 15 minutes to get a hold of someone, and after a brief conversation, the person on the other side pretended that she couldn't hear me and dropped the phone."
  • "Really unhelpful reception staff. Basic un-human interaction, seems like they can’t be bothered to do anything other than the bare minimum."
  • "The worst GP ever, the Doctors keep sending you to the pharmacist to get advice from them. I tell the Doctor my pain and problems he is keep saying that this is an 8 year ongoing problem which is not."

Communication and Responsiveness

Pros:

  • "Excellent GP surgery. Their app, Dr IQ is very easy to use to book appointments and ask any questions. I usually get a response on the same day."
  • "I’m quite a new patient at the Randolph Surgery and so far I’ve had excellent experiences and care."
  • "I have had various experiences with Randolph Surgery since I registered with them in January 2022. Some have been positive, and others less so."
  • "The staff at the surgery are very proactive and respond pretty swiftly despite the high volume of patients that they have to deal with."
  • "Wonderful experience - efficient and professional. I was almost giving up on NHS and turning to private healthcare but found this clinic and I can't believe my luck."

Cons:

  • "I requested a repeat prescription of heart medication (on instruction from an NHS consultant) for my extreme pre-term baby, who is at home with oxygen support. Having never got back to me, I spent most of two days trying to speak to somebody on the phone."
  • "Terrible experience with a particular person at reception trying to sort out a repeat prescription issue. Four visits in three days, provided all the information she requested just to be told this evening at 5pm that she was too busy to deal with it."
  • "They mentioned that my consultation is processed and nobody called. One time a GP actually called but never called back for management. absolutely zero gain after going through my problem in detail."
  • "Have only had one visit here so far but to be fair they were pretty good. The only thing I think that I could say is that their telephone manner could probably be improved."
  • "Complete inability to prescribe repeat prescriptions on time. The staff 'lose' them in the inbox or they are forgotten or simply not signed."
