Customer Service

Pros:

• "Great customer service! lovely and friendly. I travelled quite a distance to view a car I liked, as I hadn't made an appointment the car was taken in for a servicing that day but they very kindly bought it back for me to view quickly, but upon viewing I decided the type of car was not what I was looking for. The gentleman didn't make me feel pressured (like most dealerships can do) and they remained friendly throughout my decision change."

• "Customer engagement & communication skills are definitely questionable. Travelled a fair distance to the showroom to be greeted in an arrogant manner."
• "Complete waste of my time. After showing interest to their stock of cars I decided to contact this garage. They didn't respond to initial emails / text messages as prompted by their own website and autotrader advert. Then when I got through, I was promised a call back that same evening. Next morning I get through to them to be told they will not allow you to view the car because they claim someone is viewing it later that afternoon. No apologies, nothing."
• "Described car clearly over the phone. When arrived for test drive, the engine management light appeared to which they plugged in a snap on fault code reader, to reset the code. It was a static fault indicating a permanent fault (code was for an exhaust problem) which they tried to hide & state battery problem. Walked away."

Quality of Cars

Pros:

• "Purchased an audi q3 from sg motorhouse few months back. I purposely waited a few months before writing this review but I must say the service had been exceptional and this is probably the car I have so far owned. Well deserved 5 stars."

Cons:

• "I went to see a car at that place, drove 400 miles. I got there on time. I asked the salesman where is the car, he said the car is on the way. The car turned up after 1 hour, it was dirty and disgusting, and they ask for £8000 for the car. They are crooked and robbers thief."
• "I travelled 100 miles to view a car that was showcased online to be in great condition. I was so disappointed in the vehicle when I got there. The body work and interior was below standard, cigarette burns in the seats, rust around fittings, scratches on the paintwork and not worth the price at all. Beware of camera trickery!"
• "Car advertisement text has clearly been copied and pasted for every vehicle, 'IMMACULATE CONDITION INSIDE OUTSIDE' drove over to view the vehicle, tailpipe missing off the exhaust, gearbox cover stapled down. If they had been honest and said 'minor damage' to outside and inside then fair enough, but a missing tailpipe and a stapled down gearbox cover is not immaculate."

After-Sales Service

Pros:

• "A professional experience from the first call to the sale. Anyone I spoke with was very consistent in their approach, took the time to understand what I was looking for and ensured my customer experience was worth sharing with others. Given the pandemic, particular care was taken on hygiene which really mattered. Great value vehicles and even better customer service."

Cons:

• "One flaw was that I had to chase the company a few times to ensure finance on my part ex was paid off by the dealership, as agreed. Although it was eventually sorted, it would have been nice if I didn’t have to stress about it and keep calling."
• "As part of the deal we agreed that they would service the car. I later found out that they hadn't. They just topped up the oil. If this is part of your deal I recommend having evidence. For example the new oil should be very clean so you can hardly see it on the dip stick. Or ask for receipts for parts - e.g. oil filter, air filter, brake pads, etc. Get them to itemise what they have done. Just topping up the oil is not a service."
• "SG motor house bought my Nissan Leaf with battery lease included, but they never transferred the battery lease into new owners' name, so two years later I am still paying for a battery lease on a car I sold to them. Total crooks!! I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them."
