Atmosphere and Environment
Pros:
"Absolutely amazing time I spent here."
"Great seating areas, little arcade zone great place."
"A place with a lot of surprises including the best chef who puts his heart into each meal he prepares, fresh."
"The rink was fab, big enough to get a good skate on, the lighting and smoke effects were increds."
"Fun filled afternoon for the family at a very reasonable price. Music and party lights add to the atmosphere."
Cons:
"Only criticism is children need to leave sooner. As I saw 2 years old and many 7 years old still skating and adults were around drinking alcohol."
"There was roughly 20 people in the rink and not one person there wasn’t showing off to their friends with how fast or how long they could spin or how well they could skate backwards."
"It is really good, decent music, nice bar, staff is kind but the floor is still not even, sometimes not bumpy despite they promised for previous reviewers that they will update it."
"Overcrowded, venue is in bad shape as they had 3-4 bins on the ACTUAL SKATING RINK catching rain from a leaky roof."
"The secondary manager who thinks she is Lee is extremely rude, no customer service having and purposely stay d on her phone for 15 mins while people waited for their boots to change."
Staff and Service
Pros:
"The reception staff were amazing and informative on how we can return which we definitely will."
"Really enjoyed my night at Roller Jam. Service was amazing from the crew. Zack was incredible, he went above and beyond and stayed patient when helping me and my friends skate."
"Staff are lovely. They help pick people up when they fall. I even saw one of the staff teaching someone jam moves."
"Loved it here! Lots of fun. Staff are friendly and helpful."
"Fun time out even with a family. Staff around are really helpful. If they see someone struggling to skate, they try and help and teach them."
Cons:
"None of the staff are DBS checked but have constant access to children."
"Major health and safety hazards no fire extinguishers, and if you break a bone expect no more than an ice pack and a thankyou for coming because none of the 1st aiders are sports injury trained."
"Actual skating was OK as far as the rink goes however it was so mismanaged that we booked tickets online, and when we arrived we were told there were no skates sized 5,6,7,8,9,10 available."
"The staff were polite and nice, but management needs to upgrade the rink and ensure whoever is in charge of toilets is checking and maintaining it."
"Staff are incompetent. Charge us 62 quid after 1130 and kicked us out at 130 as my sister was 13 they took our money knowing she was a child and said she looked over 18 then later said she’s to young shouted lots of abuse at us and had a go at children for something that wasn’t there fault."
Value for Money
Pros:
"£3.50 for skate hire 241 cocktails £10.50, on a Thursday night."
"Our children were fascinated and are already asking to go back."
"Good value for money and a fun night."
"Pre booked tickets for 3-6. 3 of us hired skates and they were easy to get they even let us store our bag with the skates."
"Went for the rollerblading lessons. It was a good experience."
Cons:
"Really enjoyed our night out, everything is pretty good apart from the drinks are really pricey."
"The Biggest issue is the crew members, they don’t follow safety protocols such as speed or distance. I almost fell down several times."
"Very disappointing indeed, 1, uneven floor, 2, splintered and lifting resin that seems like it was poorly applied, 3, dirty toilets, no loo roll."
"In all honesty, I was a little disappointed. The place was absolutely freezing and I thought the skate hall would be much bigger."
"Booking says not allowed to bring drinks from outside but the bar was pretty much empty on my visit not even bottled water in the fridge and soft drinks overpriced."
