Quality of Veterinary Care

Pros:

  • "Henry, Pippa and team have been wonderful. Henry calling with test results and operating and Pippa and the team answering my numerous calls."
  • "They took great care with my cat when he almost lost an eye in a fight."
  • "Our rabbit recently had an urgent issue with her eye... They have been brilliant in their level and duty of care."
  • "Fantastic knowledgeable vets and staff."
  • "The care assistant was very knowledgeable and very helpful."
  • "Quickly saw our pet on very short notice, they understood the issue, and were really great."
  • "Every vet I have seen has been brilliant - particularly Henry and Julie who are so patient with such a wriggly patient!"

Cons:

  • "They cheated with the prescriptions so that when I came to collect one for pain relief for my 14years old dog they asked me to bring him and pay +200£ for an emergency appointment that is not needed."
  • "I will not be able to entrust any of my dogs into the care of this particular vet for fear of what he could potentially decide to do without prior communication."
  • "PLEASE WATCH THE BILL I have been overcharged by them putting the wrong amount of drug used during an operation."
  • "Money driven. Will overcharge you, add the bill up wrong to their advantage."
  • "Breaking confidentiality, very rushed & incomplete assessments, poor communication and rude staff."
  • "Do not take your hamster here. My hamster had a tumour and Rowe vets said she was beyond help and should be euthanised."
  • "Difficult to see same vet. Feels like treatment is based on Rowe’s business needs rather than my pet’s needs."

Customer Service Experience

Pros:

  • "Staff were responsive, professional and respectful."
  • "The staff are very pleasant and clearly adore animals of all kinds."
  • "This is a superb practice. When you arrive everyone is very friendly and on further visits you are remembered and more importantly so is your pet’s name."
  • "Our pup is always treated well and more recently had a wonderful experience with the vet being just super friendly and fun with our toddler letting them listen to the dogs heartbeat."
  • "The reception team are exceptional, friendly and remember our previous dogs."
  • "Every member of staff I spoke to were really friendly."
  • "The staff were overwhelmingly supportive, and kind."

Cons:

  • "We are having to change vets for the welfare of our family pet."

  • "Arrived in time for appointment waited less than a minute to be seen...then spent half an hour at reception to pay...disgraceful....receptionist was useless and easily distracted by other members of staff...very poor customer service."
  • "Care of my pet in an Emergency over Christmas was Excellent. However i paid my bill in full and need the Insurance paperwork completing 3 weeks after many emails from Insurance company and very distressing phone calls from myself this is still not completed."
  • "I found her manner abrupt and her words and actions made what was an unexpected and heart breaking decision worse."
  • "Absolutely appalled with the level of customer service from this Veterinary practice!"
  • "The worst customer service I have experienced in years. Offhand and rude when we needed an emergency vet."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Outstanding care seeing as I paid £200 pounds at my own vet on Saturday today we had an emergency scan and pain killer's and it was £60.00."
  • "Their health club plans are good value too :)"
  • "Excellent service on a bank holiday weekend and not as expensive as we expected."
  • "Every time I go in I seem to find that something else is included in the healthcare plan that I don't need to worry about so the value just gets better and better."
  • "Receptionists were very friendly and helpful, clearly explaining cost upfront and procedure."
  • "All the tests that were recommended were fully explained and told of the costs up front."
  • "They do it in such a way you get a real understanding of what they are doing even that you're not in the room with them."

Cons:

  • "They are terrible about not being open with pricing - it’s rare to know anything until you’ve left to pay."
  • "The dog was really ill we took him to rowe vets at midnight to be told there was a £209 pound charge before the vet would see him which I think is totally wrong."
  • "On the other hand when you go with your pet they’re jumping on the chance to perform numerous tests and administering treatments just to charge you hundreds of pounds."
  • "Recently experienced 600% increase in routine care costs without any explanation beforehand."
  • "Where this place falls off a cliff is the outrageous fees for out of hours."
  • "I do not give more than 3 stars though because I find £540 for a gastritis very expensive and not justified."
  • "I toke my cat to this vet and they charged me £270 for blood test + £250 for overnight care."
