  • "A member of staff saw and when I asked if a till could be opened, was immediately directed to one and staff member came to put my shopping through."

  • "Yesterday 6/7/23 I went into sainsburys to do a big shop for my grandchildren coming to stay. I had written a list of things I needed taking note of offers and points available for a smart shop which I always use. The smart shop wouldn’t load to start my shop so after several attempts and much frustration I spotted a manager called Alex and asked for his help, he was really good pleasant polite and helped me to get SmartShop working, after getting all my items I went to the self checkout and tried to load my shop onto the screen it came up as transaction not recognised, this was so annoying I had lost my bill, the assistant fetched Alex while I was wondering if I had to re scan my entire shop! Alex arrived and somehow managed to retrieve my bill on screen."

  • "Visited yesterday with elderly relative and enquired at Kiosk if there was a powered scooter/chair available to borrow. Staff member said yes there's only one. Didn't offer to get it. Said it might already be in use. We asked her to check. She went and Checked but said it was there but wasn't charged. We asked to see the duty manager but none could he found. This us not very good. There should be someone responsible for checking."
  • "Clueless staff, went in to get some pizza's, saw that they had a big night in type offer, no signs to say what was included, ended up asking 4 members of staff what was in the offer, each of them had no idea. Why put an offer on and don't tell the staff whats included???"
  • "Toilets were filthy and NO loo rolls in any cubicals in the gents, ladies, baby changing OR Disabled! If the public spaces are as bad as this how bad is it where the public don't see?"
  • "Staff need training on how to treat customers with disabilities, ie not pushing past them when they're using a crutch and carrying a basket. Store overall was clean and tidy if a little dark in some places. obviously been a rush of customers due to the heatwave as a lot of the freezer and sofa drink shelves were empty."

  • "What on earth is going on here ! I use this store probably twice a week and I’m afraid the standards have declined rapidly. I am sick to death of joining the long queues at tills it never used to be like this . There’s more staff milling around chatting & twiddling there thumbs . Manager please get your staff working & get it back before it’s to late .It’s probably the self serve options have caused a lot of this but when you have a full trolley this isn’t an option we need people on tills ."

  • "Big car parking in front of the shop, inside the Sainsbury's Argos & Costa coffee machine also, Sainsbury's fuel station ⛽️ next to the store and Timpson shop."
  • "Quick shopping trip, plenty of parking, staff friendly and store clean and tidy, has petrol station attached and Argos onsite so great to pop in and get goods from Argos and do shopping."

  • "This is my local supermarket. If you want to save your precious pennies, download the nectar app, and get loads of bonus points, money off your favourite purchases, and more. Ample parking space available, fuel station and carwash adjacent, friendly and knowledgeable staff, always fresh produce."
  • "Easy to park in disabled bay (as I have a Blue Badge) & didn't have to wait for a space. The inside of Sainsburys was busy, but clean & I could 'get around' easily. A very good visit."

  • "Not the biggest sainsbury, but very well stocked with friendly and helpful staff. There is a cafe and a bakery onside.They have an Argos collection desk so can collect items while in store. They also have a petrol station with an option to pay at the pump and Timson dry cleaners have a cabin on the car park. There are plenty of parking spaces available."

Cons:

  • "Tills were self service so I used the cash version 2 x 50p and 2 x £1 machine claimed I paid £2.10 no valid customer service apart from put more money in do not used the cash ones."
  • "Not the biggest store but usually can find some good yellow sticker bargains in here. If going in after 6pm usually pretty quiet. Have a good range of products but can get a few things in Oldbury that you can't here."
  • "Not a great layout, no scan and shop facilities and mobile reception in store (even on the store wifi) is poor so their scan app didn't work correctly and after completing my shop with the app it was unable to load onto till to pay so I had to scan everything again. This happened to several people while I was there. Also the toilets are always dirty. On a recent visit not just messy but DIRTY and foul smelling."
  • "They have a system where ur phone can scan bar codes as u shop. There are several components to this, ur nectar card has to be live on ur phone, then u need the Sainsburys app on ur phone, then u need the smartshopping app on ur phone plus u have to be plugged into the store WiFi. Everything has got to be working, and all the apps talking to each other. I have 3 members of staff helping me, and it took 20 minutes to get it all working. Complete nightmare."
  • "Only went to the Fuel station. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The diesel was not the cheaper price on a 5 miles radius app search that I use. It was more convenient as previously mentioned/rated the staff are great."
  • "Don't use the pay at the petrol pump they will take £100 off you card..... And would also be nice if you actually let the customers know that this happens. So I've now got an extra £80 waiting to be put back into my account. Ridiculous."
  • "They have a car park where people can park and then go shopping, amazing! plus there's also trolleys that are then pushed into the side of the cars while your shopping! This causes scratches and dents that perpetrators refuse to accept responsibility."
  • "The cafe wasn't the best, lack of cups mess on floor at the till which took a age to clean up. Carpark is a disgrace holes everywhere alright if you've got a 4b4."
