Customer Service

Pros:

  • "Cant say enough always there for you and your pet, sad day for us had to have our little dog tia of 16yrs sent to sleep cause of cancer, but pdsa were compasionate and very proffessional through whole affair thank you pdsa of viking way swansea."
  • "The vet and nurses were very helpful and understanding. I was there with my in laws and their beloved dog jodie. Jodie was a 14 year old Labrador and she was very ill. She was put to sleep that night to stop her suffering any further, she will be missed by everyone! . 😭"
  • "The vet here and nursing/reception team were abouslety wonderful, empathetic and supportive during a very tough time with my boy and I. I will never forget their help and kindness. Thank you for everything, you are all fantastic at your jobs."

Cons:

  • "Absolutely disgusted with the way the receptionist felt with my call today!"
  • "Awful experience as no one available was on my Daughter behalf as her Dog required nailes clipped though possible K9 requires sedation.. since 2021 they are suffering financially from the Government behaviour."
  • "The worst experience of my life. I know they are busy and have other people and pets to deal with. BUT to leave us sitting there for almost 2 hours to put our Buddy boy into sleep is awful."

Treatment and Diagnosis

Pros:

  • "Read few reviews and I had a positive experience. Polite staff who even phoned me back when I lost signal. Quickly diagnosed my dogs life threatening problem and upon arrival confirmed it and rushed her into surgery."
  • "What can I say, these guys are working on such a small budget, they depend on contributions, but you couldn't tell any difference from a well payed private vets, as their service is brilliant and they really go above and beyond to help your animal in anyway they can."

Cons:

  • "I took my sons dog there over a week ago as he hurt his leg. The online vet said he had dislocated his leg to take him to the surgery. Took him down kept in over night to be told he has torn his cruciate ligament needs cage rest this was saturday."
  • "Terrible. 3 appointments in 2 weeks with my poor labrador in agony. They kept sending him home with pain killers, joint supplements and a sickness injection."

Financial and Operational Concerns

Pros:

  • "Pdsa is in need of donations and I have heard due to lack of this they will unfortunately have to close not sure if this is the truth hopefully not due to the hard work, care and compassion the staff give every animal they see."

Cons:

  • "Its not the friendliest place to go but they do treat a lot of animals per day so i can see their frustration at times. We have tried calling them for months after COVID but you can never book an appointment over the phone or speak with anyone just says to go online which is a nightmare service."
  • "Refusing appointments for me dog with kennel cough who is now very sick thank for that told me it wasn't an emergency let an animal go sick to have kennel cough bad case of the black poo dog is suffering bad to he turned away this place has gone down hill told me five days for appointment he gone to a private vet witch i can’t afford the big bill for his treatment."
