  • "The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful, they don't just stare at you like other places."
  • "Even though I didn’t buy the bike there I received a lot of help after a breakdown."
  • "I have been going to Fowlers for over 50 years and purchased many bikes the first was a Kawasaki KH250 the latest a Honda NC750 I have always found the staff to be polite and knowledgeable."
  • "The best M'bike dealership in the South West, and the UK...dedicated staff who are always very busy although happy to help with any queries."
  • "Friendly, helpful & very chatty staff!"
  • "The staff at Fowlers are polite, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful."

Cons:

  • "Despite having spent money there before, rude and sarcastic when I phoned up about a simple part enquiry."
  • "I will never buy anything else again from them as they refused to service my Yamaha because it was more than 8 years old."
  • "Can't say I recommend the mechanics quite as much, I was quoted £100+ for a simple job, which I eventually got completed at another shop for a quarter of the price."
  • "Chain came off my sons bike, he called Fowler’s and the lady from the repairs and service department was so rude."
  • "Following my recent visit to Fowler’s of Bristol to get my first service completed on my 2020 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory I was less than impressed with the service from start to finish to be honest! The lady at the service reception was less than helpful and to be frank very rude."
  • "Spoke to a chap last week on the Kawasaki stand. Not very knowledgeable and barely looked up from his PC."
  • "In the trade they are called Fowlups. The worst retail experience I have ever experienced."

Product and Price

Pros:

  • "A brilliant place to search and find your motorcycle. The shop is laid out in zones specific to particular makes and styles."
  • "Great variety of motorcycles and lots to offer from each brand."
  • "I also purchased some textiles from them, great price and a good range in stock."
  • "If you're looking for a new bike or just want to have a look around and drool Fowlers if the place to go!"
  • "A real Bristol institution and a fantastic place to waste a couple of hours looking at some of the most amazing bikes you'll ever see."
  • "Everything you could want from a great range of bikes including Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph, Suzuki, Yamaha and KTM to mention a few as well as clothes all the gear and bike spares can be found here."
  • "One of the best motorcycle stores I have been to in a long time. The range of bikes, clothing and helmets is superb!"

Cons:

  • "The servicing department is a waste of time, all you’re really paying for is a deep clean of your bike - not really anything else, they should close servicing and expand their sales floor."
  • "Now I know OEM parts are expensive, but £21 for 2 12mm copper crush washers and 2 fairing bolts is just incredibly expensive, where is the value?"
  • "Women's equipment is woefully poor!"
  • "Given it's huge size and how well known Fowlers is, you'd think it would be the place to go for everything you need - but other than over-priced shiny bikes, 'out of stock' or 'will take 6-8 weeks to order in' is their response to pretty much everything I've ever asked for."
  • "A very good choice of bikes and parts yes but you have to have notes constantly pouring out of your rear-end if you have any chance in shopping here, abit extortionate to say the least."
  • "Surprisingly limited selection for the size of the store."
  • "DO NOT BUY A MUTT. Utterly terrible bikes, made from cheap Chinese parts. The people at Fowler's will knowingly lie and say that mutt motorbikes are of good quality and they haven't had issues with them."

Experience and Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "Fantastic service both up with the bikes but also with picking the protective clothing and putting together a basic toolkit."
  • "We love looking round this store when in the area."
  • "Very impressed.would recommend to all my friends."
  • "Highly recommended from my personal experience."
  • "The selection here for ladies is brilliant and you will definitely find something that both fits great and looks bomb!"
  • "You could spend a good day here and kit yourself out."
  • "Good cafe here for food, drink and social."

Cons:

  • "They say they can replace the battery for me on 'cost', cost being twice what can get it down Halfords for."
  • "When I arrived to pick up the bike, low and behold it wasn’t washed."
  • "Came with my partner to choose a helmet for his new bike. Was met by Debra who originally came across as friendly and knowledgeable. Conversation was had regarding me riding the bike and once I mentioned I was 5 months pregnant so unable to, her response was 'oh you're big aren't you' in such a rude way it made me cry."
  • "They also had a cafe on top floor which was shutting at 2pm? So couldn't even get a drink or bite to eat very disappointing visit and won't intend on returning any time soon."
  • "This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any motorcycle dealer or garage."
  • "Huge dealer, but don't go on a Saturday. It was heaving with people and no where to park if you bring your car."
  • "Was totally ignored. Bike supermarket."
