Customer Service and Staff Friendliness

Pros:

  • "Yvonne was extremely helpful. Would highly recommend."
  • "All staff in this garden centre are brilliant can't do enough for you also the food in the restaurant is really tasty so would tell all to try it out."
  • "Staff very friendly, food was really good. Kid friendly even when it was really busy."
  • "Great set up and staff were very welcoming. Had a wee look round the Christmas decorations on way out - great garden centre, well worth a visit."

Cons:

  • "At checkout the wreath went through at £84.99 which I queried as it was marked lower... the servers action resulted in me taking my cash where a customer is treated courteously."
  • "Service today was very poor. Waited over a half hour and only got food after we asked where our order was."
  • "Idiotic only wanted to use tea room but they wanted us all to ramble through whole shop so we could give details at other entrance sense would have been to do it at tearoom till."
  • "Not much for vegetarians or nothing really different for us. The thing that makes it is the cakes!! 40 minutes before we got a table."

Food Quality and Restaurant Experience

Pros:

  • "Fantastic food and cakes and Coffee, In a nice setting. We had Lunch here today. With cake and coffee. Very nice and value for money."
  • "Had a lovely lunch with a group of friends and it was my first visit to this Garden centre. We all had really good food and there was a mouth watering selection of cakes including gluten free."
  • "We love a visit to the Rosebank. We had a late lunch and weren't disappointed. It was busy so we were given a flasher to notify us when our table was ready. Staff were lovely, helpful. Food was yummy."
  • "The restaurant is very good. The main downside for us is that the restaurant is not dog friendly, which limits the number of times we can visit."

Cons:

  • "Had a burger in the restaurant. Hmmm remember those burgers at the fairground, kept warm in a hot water bath. Well, if you liked them, the ones you get here have the same taste and texture. Soggy cardboard with a hint of onion."
  • "Lovely centre, spent £250 then went for 2 breakfasts. Not busy but waited over 20 mins, both breakfast cold, black pudding and very sausages solid could not cut them, fried eggs were solid and looked like plastic toy eggs, mushrooms raw."
  • "First time at the tearoom at the garden centre, went because it was husband birthday, well the cakes definitely didn't look or taste nice, the sandwiches with ham they had hardly any meat on them."
  • "Ordered fish and chips, fish very small and greasy and came with a mountain of chip (which were nice). Shopping is quite nice, really nice selection of children's books and jigsaws."

Product Selection and Pricing

Pros:

  • "Great place to shop for Christmas. We also had lunch. I had half panini and minestrone soup. It was lovely. My husband had a roast beef dinner. He thought it is was great."
  • "Recently purchased an egg chair from Rosebank. There was a tiny issue and it was rectified it immediately. Yvonne was extremely helpful. Would highly recommend."
  • "They have some lovely items for gifts and a good selection of Christmas decorations. Be aware that the cafe is very busy, so if you want to eat there, go to the cafe area approx 30mins before you want to eat."
  • "This garden centre is just super & so modern with beautiful stuff for garden & home & no wonder it was packed with folk & with plenty of parking too."

Cons:

  • "Sorry, not impressed. It's five past September and there's nothing on display except Christmas stuff. Sad, really!"
  • "Pleasant enough with friendly staff. A bit pricey though and not a huge selection of plants. Their Christmas display is absolutely fantastic and well worth a visit."
  • "I visited last Sunday, the 11th, I ordered Fish n Chips, and my husband had the Macaroni with chips. It was the only thing I ate all day. That late evening, I was sick the full night right through till Monday morning."
  • "No plants in sight in October as the Christmas stuff is already out. Bit of a waste when many are still looking for indoor plants to grow at home during lockdown."

Ambiance and Cleanliness

Pros:

  • "Beautiful garden centre and lovely area for dining, staff were first class especially the woman at the front of house looked after us and got us a table right away and watched her working away being attentive to everyone well Done 👌"
  • "Always a treat to visit Rosebank Garden centre with my mum and elderly aunt. The range of plants is fantastic, the restaurant provides excellent variety of food and the service throughout is first class."
  • "Great garden centre with amazing cakes. Staff always helpful and friendly. Only given 4/5* as they could do with more disabled spaces as they fill up really quickly."
  • "This is indeed a lovely place to visit, beautiful indoor restaurant and great outdoor coffee area. Superb home made cakes on offer too. On a different note, they have gorgeous restrooms, better than I’ve seen in fancy hotels and restaurants."

Cons:

  • "A nice place to visit nice food but the noise was bad listening to kids screaming was the downside hence only 4 stars it's not the garden centre's fault but it was annoying I would go back."
  • "Lovely garden centre. However, found the restaurant to be extremely busy. It was very difficult to have a proper conversation with a family member because of the noise."
  • "As customers since the 60s, & 70s coming up for tomatoes for my mother's bakery in Cambuslang, we have seen the vast changes in Rosebank. Gone is the cosy atmosphere of the tearoom. The extension is big."
  • "I'm sorry to say but I think Rosebank Garden Centre has lost part of its charm since the refurbishment. It's less of a garden centre and more of a shop now. Lovely products but very little plants. 😥"
